Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen - Slauson

Hilltop's Slauson location has a strong neighborhood vibe and is more community focused, with a large wall full artworks from the black community, which is pretty cool. There are plenty of seatings to enjoy the meal or conversations.

Great coffee! Great vibe! Great customer service. Good food. We ordered the vanilla latte, beignets and churros with Nutella. All items made fresh to order. Good quality, medium roasted espresso beans. The young lady (wish I could remember her name) was awesome, she was extremely patient while i was ordering as well as extremely knowledgeable about the menu. An abundance of parking and outlets for your charger and/or laptop. Overall incredibly positive experience and will return in the near future.

This is a really special place. I really love what this black owned business is really doing here. The service is amazing. The staff are all really friendly. If your looking for a nice breakfast/brunch spot with a vibe I recommend this Cafe. The parking is free and nearby, it's behind the Cafe. I ordered the waffles with a berry compote and a vanilla latte with oat milk and it was AMAZING!! My partner ordered the bangin breakfast sandwich and he really loved it and he's picky. I encourage everyone to try this cafe and support your local back owned business. I came to the location on LA Brea and Saluson.

If you walk or bike up the hill on Slauson to get here, you’ve earned yourself one of the best local cafes south of the 10. I’ve tried the toast with smoked salmon as well as an açaí bowl — both worthy bites. The pistachio latte is also incredible if you’re in need of some caffeine with a twist. I love that they keep local art on rotation, there’s always something beautiful to admire. Come support Hilltop!
