Ichijiku Sushi

Decided to check this place out after hearing a few positive reviews and am super glad I did! My wife and I split the Sushi box for two and added a few of the vegan rolls to try out. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Prices could be considered medium to high for a neighborhood sushi place, but for the quality of product we received I think it was very fairly priced.

It’s important to know that this isn’t the kind of place where you’re going to get insane rolls with a lot of extraneous toppings. I think of that as novelty sushi, and honestly sometimes I love it. But usually with sushi I am looking for simpler things executed very well. That’s the focus at Ichijiku. If you don’t care about that too much then you may feel the prices here are too high. But for people that do appreciate it, this is a great addition to the neighborhood.

So glad this place opened in our neighborhood, we got the sushi box for two, and everything is fresh and delicious! Sushi is something that is pricy, but with the quality of ingredients (fish specifically) we think it is well worth it!

I am SO excited that there is a new restaurant in Highland Park and even more so that it is SUSHI! It looks so super cute and I give them SO many props for opening up during a pandemic. So happy to have them as a neighbor for my home and business! Pricing looks great and they have vegan rolls as well! SO EXCITED!
