“From first glance at the menu, I could tell that this is a healthy restaurant. Huge selection of meat, vegetarian and vegan entrees. It's usually when there's only 1 or 2 vegetarian options, that it's best not to order them. If other places made black bean burgers like Ollie's Duck and Dive does, then I could easily go vegetarian. Best part best part best part. TARO CHIPS. 5 stars for the huge dumping of taro chips with my black bean burger. I wanted to cry. I felt hearty and energized to take on the beach afterwords. The leftovers held up well for my drive back home.”

“Okay this place is amazing! Great restaurant in the staff is beyond top notch! and the best part is the prices are very reasonable! We had the pleasure of having a wonderful bottle of wine that was recommended by our server and he said if we don't love it then we wouldn't have to pay for it. It was beyond wonderful! The bouquet filled the entire patio when we opened that bottle and even the people at the table next to us remarked at how amazing the wine smelled. My wife's dinner was fantastic! I had a wonderful true Italian style pizza. Oh and David Duchovny was having dinner there on the patio next to us. Kind of neat. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough!!!”

“Excellent food, not so excellent service - hence 3 stars instead of 5. We ate out on the terrace, splendid view of the ocean. The tables though were placed way too close to each other, it was a little claustrophobic. Again, excellent food - the steak is absolutely delicious, tender and juicy (even though I always have it very well done). Great clam chowder, tasty cream of wild mushroom soup. Everything is overpriced, but of course, you gotta pay for the view somehow. Not sure I want to go there again. If it's that crowded all the time, then I will pass. Plus, the waiters can work a little bit more about their service skills. At the ladies restrooms there was no toilet paper, so I had to go out and look for some staff and tell them to replenish it. So 3 stars are for the excellent food and great view.”

What we ordered was delicious and felt honestly fresh thoughtfully prepared. The location is second to none, loads of seating options scattered around the pier for Sue we'll be back to explore. “I love the Carbon Beach Club not only because of the food and servers but because of the amazing beach views. I stopped here after a hike in Malibu and it was early in the morning, so I ordered breakfast. I ordered the fried egg sandwich that comes with small breakfast potatoes. The sandwich comes with a fried egg, bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, and cheddar cheese. The whole plate was good, and the server was nice enough to bring a side of ranch. The sandwich was huge, and it was plenty of food to re-energize after a workout. Even if the food can be a little pricey, you’re also paying for the awesome views. You have to make sure to get outdoor seating to enjoy the sea breeze and waves.”
