Very authentic Mexican experience, but up scale! Had a great launch, the guacamole is yummy. Their wine selection is simple, but effective. The street tacos are amazing!

Esperanza is my new favorite restaurant in the South Bay, but also a great spot if you just want to meet up for drinks! The ambiance and decor is next level and the food and margaritas are delicious. They have an extensive menu of cocktails and great Mexican food. Dylan is awesome and always takes great care of us! We will definitely be back again and again :)

Esperanza Cocina de la Playa was worth the wait. It's not easy to open a restaurant during COVID but what can I say. The new hot spot in Manhattan Beach. The margarita assortment and innovative cocktails were top notch. The food was unbelievable...tacos and enchilada here rule but there are so many good choices here you can come back for a week straight and never eat the same meal. Definitely and new favourite in town.

Hoping they find themselves at some point, because there seems to be hope. The margaritas are great. The food? Not so much. My carnitas were ultra, ultra-dry. Inedible. I’ll give them high points for the semi-scratch made tortillas, however. But everything else was average at best. If you want a “scene” with pretty people, they are doing well in that department. But if you want really good Mexican food, go elsewhere. Service was terrible, but it wasn’t the individual server’s fault - she was very nice and trying hard - it was a systemic issue of the restaurant and a seemingly lack of care for the consumers.

Great new place in a great location with a enormous beautiful bar and a great second floor outdoor seating area that overlooks the street! Plentiful menu. Try the mesquite stakes, the prawns and the chicken with capers and olives and you'll be hooked. It gets very busy on the weekend so make a reservation well in advance. Lots of food for the money here and they are not picky about the way you are dressed.... very California casual. We'll be back.
