Mercado Restaurant Manhattan Beach

The interior looks great. Was able to get a reservation for a larger party on very short notice. Seated immediately when we arrived. Server was friendly and had great recommendations. The guacamole appetizer was delicious. We ordered a variety of foods among the table; carnitas were great! Loved the tortillas they were served on. The small coke bottles were adorable, but missed the refills as they usually get us through the rest of the workday. It's a sit-down experience; needed more time to dine than a middle-of-the-workday kind of lunch. A little too pricey for a regular workday lunch outing. Would come back for a weekend lunch date, happy hour or dinner.

Amazing food! Every dish is fresh and delicious. Try the catch of the day for a fun decadent dish. The flan is soft sweet & with the classic Rompope to go along with it... its the best in LA hands down. The restaurant has a classic design with all original art work on display all around. Very very freindly knowledgeable staff. Everyone on staff is there for you so you dont flag down your waiter because the entire staff structure is all hands on deck environment. The patio has heated lamps. Dont forget dessert after your meal!

Almost perfect. The food is delicious, and the portion sizes are in the larger side for starters. It's a little too dark for me to read the menu. The music isn't so loud that you can't carry a conversation. Servers were very attentive. I highly recommend the guacamole and grilled fish tacos. Skinny margarita was also good, not too sweet.

It was all VERY GOOD! Kale salad was great. The mushroom dip appetizer was tasty. Shrimp was very tender with a great flavor. And if you like flan, treat yourself to something special!

Food, service and atmosphere is just so great at this place. Half the bar is inside, half the bar is outside! So cool! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the wait staff is so attentive but doesn't cross that line of being pushy. It's perfect and you should go.
