Luscious Dumplings

Great food for a great price!!

Ate there last night. Food was so good n so warming on a cold Monrovia night. We got the pork belly noodles n dumplings. Love to go back soon

Was out here in Duarte taking care of some stuff and found this place to have great reviews.

Waiting - Luckily when I came we only waited for about 5 min or so butbcan see them have a long wait.

Venue - Regular size but limited seating due to size.

Service - Wasnt bad but could improve a bit checking up a bit more often.

Food - The servings where avg. and the texture and taste of the food was above avg.

Price - I believe it was priced a bit higher than the norm from your similar places.

Overall It was good but would like to give another spot a chance before coming back.

Food is good, better than I expected. Dumpling skin is thicker than homemade but softness is what amazed me. Seaweed salad has the garlic and Sichuan peper oil which really are good combination and have their kick in the salad.

What's in a name? A dumpling by any other name would smell as sweet. Luscious dumplings - the name connotes sexual attraction if not voluptuous and rich taste. The taste is certainly very rich, and I think I'm sexually attracted to most dumplings; however, the dumpling skins are far too thick. It can feel like you are chomping through a block of dough. The dumpling skin should have elegance, swaddling the filling like a newborn. Firm to the squeeze of the chopstick, but malleable to the forces of the universe. The dumplings at luscious dumplings are robust, but to me they are not luscious.

For this reason, I recommend you get the noodle and dumpling combo, instead of pure dumplings. And I recommend that you stick with the classic chive pork shrimp, ya dig?
