“I’ve been here twice. First time it was great food but bad service. Second time it was great food and great service. I guess on average it’s great food and spotty service. Dim sum here is delicious! Everything tastes above average. It’s a bit pricey but I think the quality is there. Parking lot is small. There’s street parking but only if you’re lucky. Worth a visit but definitely not elite in any way.”

“This place has very good Rice Noodle Roll in this area because it uses traditional Guangzhou Style to steam their Rice Noodle Roll. Also, I love their Beef Tripe and Porridge because it is delicious and not heavy in my opinion. In addition, it is not very expensive compared to other restaurant for their lunch or dinner. However, this place is small so sometimes people has to wait for their seat, and the parking is also not enough especially at the weekend. Also, their services sometimes is slow but overall I do believe is fine. Therefore, it is the place for breakfast or lunch, and I recommend come here early or after peak lunch time to eat steam Rice Noodle Roll or Porridge here.”

“I love stopping by this pizza place, for 9 bucks you choose any topping you want, that's right, add any veggies and any combination of meats, 2, 3, 4 meats or veggies , you name it, the combinations are endless, pizza always tastes great! And even if you have to go they'll pack it on a specific pizza bag which I wish every other pizza place had, drinks are on point! And they have beer on tap! Great selection as well , plenty of tables all over the place for groups, a well fitted spot to get pizza and beer with friends, very very well recommend!”

“Lee's Tofu has been a staple in Monterey Park's Atlantic Square for a long time now. While other businesses come and go, Lee is here to stay. It is authentic Korean; not fusion Chinese or Japanese. The hot tofu soups are amazing and come in their own hot plates along with hot steamed white rice and about 8 mini dishes (fried fish, kimchee, pickled cucumbers, et.al.) A small salad is also included. (They have other dishes besides tofu, if you were wondering.) Flavors for the tofu soups range from chicken, vegetable, beef, seafood, etc. Come hungry and leave satisfied. I certainly am a fan.”

“Usually, they're fast and efficient. Not today. Waited and waited while the one person helping people thought it was more important to take care of orders submitted by app. Sorry. I know it's the bright shiny new toy, but you had a paying customer there waiting. They should ALWAYS take priority over phone orders or app orders. With the app order, you have time to get to their order. They're not even in the store to oick up their order yet! I was! It took about half an hour to get a simple turkey carver to go order! That is inexcusable! Then, the soda machine wasn't working. And it was going to take an additional 10 min to re-boot! If they weren't one of the few good places to eat in Atlantic Square (all of the ones at the south end have horrible customer service, to the point that I will not return), they wouldn't have even gotten 3 stars. At least the sandwich was good.”

There are other Japanese spots that can keep up with Shinanos but this spot is definitely one to hit. Don't knock it until you've had the Boat special!
