This place is perfect. It's delicious, convenient, and while there is a line- it's not too bad. The cod is delicious and some of the best fries I've had in the city
One of the best beer bars in Los Angeles, ad well as one of the oldest. They helped start the good beer movement in California back in the 90s. Draft selection is second to none. They specialize in Belgians, but they have all types. It's worth a trip, no matter where in LA you are.
I like this place alright. Haven't eaten the food. They don't heat the place or if they do it doesn't spread far. It's the most real of the Lucky Baldwins I've been to. They've a jukebox; it's kinda quirky but that's probably a good thing. Bathroom is pretty dirty. The staff is polite, never inattentive that I've seen. I gave 5 stars but it is 4.5
We stopped their for a beer - they had Pliny the Elder from Russian River Brewery on tap - and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great wait staff, solid beer selection, especially for those who favor the Belgians. While we did not have a meal there, we were enticed by the menu, and we enjoyed our appetizers. I wouldn't hesitate sending anyone there.
Just had a beer on this day. And went back with a group we had a late lunch. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup nothing was hot temperature wise. The soup was tomato basil which was tasty even cold. I gave five stars for the beer and the waitress was amazing very pleasant took good care of us.
