We usually don't eat out. Because we usually find foods outside overly salted and not as good as what we make. This place was different. We had to make the stop because after the pediatrician visit, my baby boy who has been getting over a cold was needing to eat. We ordered 2 orders to go and they were okay with us eating something there and taking the rest home. There was a Latino man who said that he had been working for the proprietor for a long time and really liked her. The chef came out and interacted with my boy letting us know that everything was fresh and had no msg. They were super gracious. I felt so taken care of, and I was truly grateful for them. Great experience all around.
My co-worker and I had lunch here. He's been here a couple of times, and it was my first time here. It just so happened the owner was here that day. She was super sweet and really nice. The food here isn't too pungent in flavour, which I really like. They don't really have that aftertaste of MSG that you get in most restaurants (that leave you downing a gallon of water afterwards), which is really cool. The price is pretty standard and reasonable. Only downside is that parking is $2 (cash only). There menu is quite unique in terms of flavour combinations. Highly recommend!
Wonderful little gem on the second floor of a low key portion on Colorado. I had the lunch combo. Jimmy Tang, chef and owner, was so very kind to substitute white fish for me as I was craving for fish on October 2nd! She makes her own fresh chicken broth for pho.
Met Kim, owner and chef to compliment her on her culinary talent. She is charmingly personable. The dishes she serve are just amazing! Our server was also attentive, good natured and patient. This little restaurant is an unexpected, out of sight, delightful dining experience.
If you have a chance to come here for lunch, their specials are delicious. Fresh, interesting dishes that don't disappoint. I always order a side of coconut rice. Vegetarian options are great and a nice change to the usual options I have. Pleasant atmosphere, great service and cucumber water to top it off.
