California Pizza Kitchen at Pasadena

Best pizza I have ever had. Melted in my mouth. Just loved the crust!

I think we surprised the place with 27 adults and kids from our basketball team on a Sunday night 3-day weekend. It took awhile to get everything but the wait staff was very courteous and got all of the orders pretty close to right and allowed separate checks by family. They had ample room in a back room for all of us and were ready to be seated at the get-go. They did ok!

Good food, and a decent atmosphere. I'm not big on chain restaurants but the food quality if good here. Bonus points for the server - she worked with us to figure out a pasta free option with the bolagnese and it was excellent!

We took a group of 35 adults on Sunday about 2 pm. The staff had prepared the area well for us and servers were preassigned to tables. Wait staff was pleasant and efficient. Our thin-crust pizzas were too large for just one person. All were delicious as was my smashed pea and barley soup. The asparagus and arugula salad was nicely seasoned and presented on a long rectangular platter so that it was easy to share with the person opposite me at the table. People at other tables were equally satisfied with their food and servers. We would go again!!!

I have only every been to this location twice but both times have been enjoyable. I love the openness of the restaurant as well as all the natural light. While waiting for a table you can walk around the fountains outside along with the tile art. Food came out prompt and was up to par. The staff was friendly and made good small talk that made us feel welcome and that we weren't a burden with our 1 year old son making some noise. Whenever we are passing through Pasadena again, we will be stopping by.
