Yakiya at Pasadena continues to deliver an unparalleled dining experience, echoing the excellence of its sister location. With a pre-fixe menu that promises culinary delight for every palate, this restaurant remains a go-to destination for special occasions.

While the quality of the food remains impeccable, it's worth noting that the prices have seen a slight increase. Nevertheless, considering the exceptional dining experience offered, it's a worthwhile investment for those seeking to celebrate in style.

During my visit, each dish surpassed expectations, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The wagyu with egg dish stood out as a personal favorite, elevating the dining experience to new heights. And let's not forget about dessert – the white chocolate with matcha filling was nothing short of sublime. Its delicate balance of sweetness and earthy notes provided the perfect conclusion to a fine dining extravaganza.

However, one aspect of the dining experience that could be improved is the atmosphere. The restaurant's lively ambiance, while adding to the energy of the space, also contributed to a significant noise level. This made conversation with fellow diners challenging at times, particularly for those seated across from each other.

Super cute special occasion place. The food was fantastic. It is a pre fix menu for $128 per person. Everything that came to our table was delicious.

It was our wedding anniversary and they even gave us a special treat at the end of our meal.

They have an extensive bar menu with lots of high end alcohols that are fairly priced. My husband ordered a $90 pour of Hibiki 17 that is his favorite. They also have a selection of wines by the glass that were delightful.

Overall we had a wonderful experience and I would recommend it for a special night out.

This restaurant is a one time experience. We’ve been 3 months and they haven’t change their menu.
The server Jordan was ok, but he’s making very awkward jokes, a little uncomfortable. He also spilled the rice when mixing bone marrow rice
Food quality was great, I wish we have a little more food considering the price.

Omakase, Japanese style grill with great quality & cut of meats. The first 4-5 courses were amazing & we were excited to see the presentation & description of each bite. However, toward the end the courses seemed to lose flavor, & really mellowed out. Maybe that's the point, but I walked away on more of a low than a high.

The bone marrow was something I was really looking forward to but it got lost in the rice when they mixed it, next time I'll ask if we can skip mixing it.

The poached egg is usually a great addition to a meal but in this case it as a little too raw & bland. Overpowered the meat instead of adding to it.

It is a good amount of food, left feeling happy & content. Wish I could have repeated the first 4 courses twice!

Tl;dr amazing food, amazing staff, great environment, service timing still working out the kinks but very good.

Excellent new location for Yakiya. The pre fixe food is delicious, each course blends well into the next one, and they provide little palette cleansers throught the meal to ensure you can taste everything with a fresh experience. The service timing was decent but you could tell things were still coming together with such a recent opening, first fre courses had long gaps between them and then the middle was bunched and a bit rushed, and the end was all good.

The beef options are all excellent, each cut unique and cooked to perfection at the table in front of you.
The seafood is clearly amazing quality and seasoned such that it brings out the natural flavors without overwhelming.
The rest (veggies, cleansers, drinks) were good but none of them were amazing. The drinks are standard quality cocktails with normal fine dining prices.
They gave us a free glass of Sake for our anniversary and a little extra printed pastry with dessert, very nice touch to go with the overall experience.
