The Original Pancake House

Used to love this place-- in season, the strawberry pancakes are pretty awesome, and the chocolate chip pancakes are solid anytime-- but they changed the color scheme in the last remodel and it doesn't quite seem as homey and familiar.

The bacon is pretty good, nice and meaty, a little fatty and soft at the ends... except they've been eclipsed by some very stiff competition recently, and it feels like they haven't quite kept up. Even the dutch baby, which was delicious, feels like it's now fighting for second best.

Delicious! Got the chocolate chip pancakes instead of the usual blueberry or plain. Great! Lots of chocolate. Staff was attentive and checked in with us around every 10 minutes. Bathrooms were in good shape, perfect for family breakfasts. I will say you need to come early, for this place fills up very fast. If you're past the 7:30 deadline, have fun waiting. Definitely coming back again!

Delicious food that is worth the wait. But you will wait a while to be seated nearly every time you come to this restaurant. Service is decent. Seating is very crowded, the place is jam packed, but again the breakfast is outstanding.

Magical. I only ever order the 49er stack, having discovered perfection on my first visit, so I can't speak to the rest of the menu, which I assume is also excellent. Friendly, attentive service, too. Unbeatable value

Corn beef hash with over easy eggs was delicious. Potato pancakes is really good but a little salty so ask for no salt on it or less salt. Coffee is not your typical watered down coffee and is very strong coffee. Definitely would come back.
