Qing Feng Bao Food

I found this place by accident and how lucky I was and am!!!! I eat Chinese food often and go to China (Tianjin and Beijing) often to visit family. I'm telling you, this is the real deal!!!! Tastes just like the foods that I love to eat in China. The place is a bit hidden and there is not much in the way of decorations (typical hardcore Chinese eatery) and seating is limited. I'm here for one thing and one thing only; to eat! The service is quick and the food is fresh. I've been twice now in the last 2 weeks (I live over 100 miles away) and the only problem is that I don't live closer to this eatery. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Menu is simple and very cost effective. Portions are good and the plating is straightforward. Now the food. Hot and fantastic! Noodles are nice and chewy. Baozi is fresh and very very good. Beef shank is seasoned well and the chili oil dipping sauce is very nice. To me though, the star is their fresh made Tofu and soy milk! Really reminds me of breakfast with the family in Tianjin. I can't tell you enough how I wish I lived closer. I travel alot. I own multiple restaurants and have been a professional chef for many years. This is the kind of place that I want to see flourish. The people that work there (I believe the owners?) are kind and attentive without being pushy. Their recommendations were right on the money too. Do yourself a favor and try this local gem. When you shop small local places that are putting out a solid fresh product, you are not only treating yourself to a great meal but, you are helping a family who is putting their hearts and soul into every bite. My children also love this place and it is our new favorite Chinese spot. We will make another trip here soon. You should too.
