Newhall Refinery

Drinks are great but food is okay. The apps and desserts are really good but the entree’s could be better. Top apps; refiner fries, charcuterie boards, baked potato soup. Best dessert; beignets. Their drink selection is really good.

This is my second visit and is already on my list for places to eat in the Santa Clarita Valley. You'll find this gastropub excelling in both areas. The variety and quality of the beers is superb, with a great local representation. And the chefs are putting together a great menu. The pork pot roast was delicious, as was the beet salad.

New Hall service was fast and efficient. I’m a vegetarian and had the beyond burger. It was the best vegan meal I’ve ever had. My friends had regular burgers and said they were in their top 5 of all time. I’d recommend the drive from LA. The beverage program looks awesome and the place has an awesome atmosphere. I’d recommend to vegetarians and meat eaters!

Been here 4 times. First 2 times were super. Time before this was mostly great with a major miss on the shrimp taco plate. Tiny shrimps on the tacos while another person at table had decent size shrimp. Ya , it was a drastic difference, enough to make a point. I didn't even taste anything other than the tortilla and cabbage. But other things were great. This most recent time my cod fish was not so good. The oil was burned and the batter was charred burned. Lobster roll I remember tasting better before, the bread roll was cold and it just didn't hit the taste like the other times. Great ice cream, and super Poke.....and beer helps too!
Will give it another shot for sure. Each plate is kinda upper in price, so you do have an expectation of dishes to be well executed.
