    Usually a bit of a wait but Taco Tuesday is definitely worth it! We get the hard shells which are served with lettuce and cheese on the side to fill them with. Of course the house margaritas are tasty but we do usually have to order another shot on the side to get them just right. Waiters and bussers always help each other out when checking on all the tables; everyone is attentive and friendly.

    Place is good but just mediocre good. Nothing special. Its like grandma's cooking that you love cause its free. This place has a good Taco Tuesday. Only reason i even go there. True story +

    This was the first time we had eaten at Gilbert's in about 10 years and it has not changed a bit, which is a good thing. The meal was fantastic and we love the ambiance. The service is also fast. It has to be the best Mexican Restaurant in Santa Monica, if not all of the West Side.

    Just left minutes ago. Ordered super mule burrito. $12 plus a dollar for a side of sour cream. Friendly service. Burrito was pretty good and sizable although there wasn’t very much avocado. Will probably go back.
