I've been twice, different customer service each time. A young gentleman gave me great service, great explanation, even over the phone. The pizza was not as nice as I thought it would be when the young man enthusiasticly explained that they use only the best vegan cheese. It was ? but left a lot to be desired. I would almost prefer to wait 15 min to have a whole, fresh pizza than just the last 3 slices available. It was dry, hard and thin. The only thing that made it worth while was the flavor that seemed to taste a lot like black olives which my kids happen to hate but loved it in this pizza. Maybe next time I will be more pushy in requesting a whole pizza. My second experience was not as great it was when I actually got the pizza. The gal serving was not at all amused or helpful. I also ordered some grilled veggies but they lacked in freshness, were overdone, extremely dry, the only plus was that they had a kick to them. I would have been better off going home to make some frozen veggie stir fry with the same Ingredients. My kids and I loved their donuts, pastries. When we go back I will likely call in first to see who is running the show that particular day. I'm well aware that with COVID19 everyone is having a hard time so good customer service is difficult to maneuver. I am a victim of domestic violence, homeless, during both my visits I was kind to whomever was serving me, my kids were polite. I was happy to give us a little treat for a birthday, and a just because I wanted to get food out somewhere nice rather than home cooked vegan food. The food is not cheap, the drive was long. I bit the bullet because I don't eat out everyday. The least I expect is a smile, a thank you, some polite conversation. I would love to work there, I would be delighted with every customer who walked in. People hardly get social interaction because of our circumstances, shouldn't that time with every stranger be uplifting?

We were really looking forward to trying this place and it didn't disappoint. AMAZING vegan bakery with a real homemade feel. The coffee was the best coffee we have had so far in LA. I couldn't say enough good things about this place. We will be back!

This is aaaabsolutely the bakery that Santa Monica has been missing! Erin McKenna’s bakes only fresh vegan and gluten-free eats and treats for between $4 - $7, which accounts for the time, care and ingredients put into each piece.

The staff is extremely engaging, hospitable and knowledgeable on their products. Feel free to ask about ingredients, the baking process or the brand as a whole. They used to operate as “Babycakes” which is how I knew them many years ago.

So what can you eat here? You’ll find bagels, donuts; muffins, cakes, cupcakes, browniecookies, cookie sandwiches, biscuits, and even pizza. They also have avocado toast, salad and roasted vegetables on the menu. But, if you’re anything like me...I’m guessing you came here for the carbs.

    Pro Tips:
    - Eat your treats in their adorable retro seating area
    - Definitely try their homemade vegan butter with your bagel or biscuit
