Most delicious mouth watering Indian food in Los angels/ Santa Monica area!!! Yes their service is a bit slow but it’s only because they take their time creating this scrumptious food! They put their heart and soul into their cooking and I 100% will be a customer for life! No other Indian food taste this amazing

Best Indian food I've probably ever had at Rita's Gate of India.
Maximum flavor and spice without being overwhelming or greasy. I've had so much Indian food that is tasty but feels like fast food and I can guarantee you this no where close to that.
Those samosas are next level.
My family got some chicken and some lamb dishes and all had a taste.
I personally got the Chef Special with chicken, the yellow curry bowl pictured... A+
If you know me, I don't dig the spicy or venture too far into curry spices but I LOVED this coconut curry with chicken. Has a lovely kick of curry flavor with cool, creamy coconut supporting it and some herbs to give it dimension.

Rita herself waited on us, looked amazing, was so kind and gave wonderful recommendations for our varying preferences. We could taste the love she personally put into our meal. This restaurant was at another location for 18 years which our family visited and loved. They had a devisating fire a few years ago, and just reopened within this past year here on 5th St. Menu is simple, diverse, flavorful, able to accommodate allergies (gluten, dairy, etc.) and different levels of spicy. Great as her food has ever been with renewed vigor.

A couple at a table next to us brought their younger children who seemed to like it. Saw a couple on a date night it seemed. Something for everyone here, even most picky eaters. Portions are good and decent price (considering you're getting a good portion of meat) ; you could eat a dish to yourself if you're really hungry or split one and an appitizer with a friend.
