The Brothers Sushi Santa Monica

Easily the best nigiri sushi on the west side. Haven’t found better toro, bluefin, yellowtail, amberjack, or fresh crab on the west side of LA. Fair prices even for the toro and wagu. Tea and soup served more traditional style than most places. Will definitely return.

The ambience of the restaurant is as good as the food they serve!!! They’re currently in soft opening mode, but I think this restaurant has got it!!

Appreciate the detail of each dish by Chef Mori, and the choices of fish are outstanding and varied. Equally important, the flavors are quite true to my homeland which is a very important factor when eating sushi for me, especially with so many so-called "authentic” Japanese sushi restaurants popping up in LA.

I have been to their sister location in Woodland Hills multiple times, and nothing beats Brother Sushi (not even NOBU). I look forward to adding this new location as my go-to spot! The servers and chef was masked up when we went if you’re concerned.

Went here for my wife's birthday and we had a wonderful time. Don't understand the poor reviews, give these guys a break, they just opened a couple months ago. In any case, the fish was immaculate and the customer service was great. Shout out to our server Michi who was nothing short of amazing. Looking forward to coming back soon. Keep up the good work!!!

Chef Moriyuki Kanamura serves up excellent fish and great customer service at the Santa Monica outpost of the Brothers Sushi group. We had the lunch omakase and had a great time with chef. The fish was as expected fresh and well prepared. For $90 (8/14/22) you get 2 appetizers, 10 sushi and 1 hand roll. For LA in 2022, it’s about decent value for money.

Incredible ambiance, truly unique experience. Only with soft opening with preset menu but it’s a must try!
