Urban Skillet

This place is amazing! I'm from the east coast so we were travelling in the area and had to check out the Halal food scene. The place is about 5 min away from Venice Beach (20 min walking) so super convenient to visit an iconic spot and not have to worry about finding a place to eat later. We ordered the Z Dog, Truffle Burger, Mushroom Burger, and Urban fries. The Z dog is huge like lots of fries, bacon, ground beef, etc. You have to get yourself messy to eat it but it's worth it! Truffle Burger reminded my brother of the whopper which is interesting. I had the mushroom burger which was nice too, love how they added lots of avocado underneath. And the fries were really good too. It is a wait like we had to chill at the place for about 12 min or so but it's definitely worth it. I also love the outdoors seating area, and the staff is really warm and receptive. We took a while to order and kept changing our mind, but the staff was super chill about it. We couldn't finish some of our food and the server wrapped it up for us nicely. I highly recommend you check this place out for any American style cuisine. The food is 100% halal and grass-fed, you won't be disappointed!

Great food and service. Food was delicious and served quickly. The outdoor seating was lovely and they had heaters. Would highly recommend. Pictured is the ‘Blazin Chicken Burger’ with caramelized onions 👌🏻There is also a Santa Monica Community Garden right across the street for a beautiful walk full of flowers and trees after you eat & it’s free!

I’ve been to the Hollywood location before and the food is amazing! Was so excited to hear they’re now in the town I most frequently visit with friends and family! I came to this Santa Monica location around after sunset when they light up the outside and turn on the flames on full blast! Trust me eat outside and take in the ocean breeze while you devour the food. I had the Blazin Burger with skillet fries and a shake..an amazing combo I highly recommend you try! The spicy chicken is better then Dave’s in my opinion. Definitely a vibe, I’ll be coming often.

Honestly the best halal burger I have tried. The best part is that their entire menu is 100% halal and this place has an amazing vibe. Outdoor seating is a must! keep killing it guys!

These burgers are so damn good! For sure worth the price.

Double meat and very juicy. Definitely coming by often. I grabbed the Oh So Hot Burger. It was nice and spicy and tasty. I defiantly recommend it.

The Buffalo chicken fries were also amazing!

These are for sure some gourmet burgers.
