(February 18, 2019, 2:48 pm)This is my favorite Japanese Izakaya place in town. Always super busy. You need to make the reservation! Food are always fresh and service was very pleasant. I love their shabu shabu, high quality of meat! A unique spot if you want some serious authentic Japanese food.

(January 25, 2019, 5:53 am)Authentic Japanese food here. Beef tongue knocked my socks off! We also tried the hotpot which was very delicious - definitely not your average Shabu Shabu.

(November 10, 2018, 12:26 pm)A Japanese friend of mine took me here. Very authentic, but that is what you get in Torrance CA. There's a large Asian (Japanese) population and the quality of the restaurants are amazing. Hachi does not disappoint. We are at the counter and had a variety of dishes. I have to say the the hot pot was at the top of the list. Very well done and mirrors the food you get in Tokyo. I go to Tokyo throughout the year on business and always love the trips to Torrance. If you are in to Japanese cuisine and like the Izakaya style of dining please try Hachi
