Some food was great and some food was bland. The servers were excellent though!

We got:
Shrimp Shack Mac & Cheese - Very watery, bland, the noodles were swimming in water pretty much, although it came in a skillet that was hot the actual mac and cheese was cold.

Mama Gump's Garlic Bread - Yummy

Run across America Sampler - The shrimp was fantastic, the hush pups had a flavor I simply couldn't get use to... strong flavor. Spicy chicken strips were very good, the spinach dip wasn't good. It was so cold.

Lt. Dan's Surf & Turf - The ribs were perfectly cooked, I enjoyed them. The shrimp had a nice grilled flavor but were very stuck in the shell, the fries were perfect.

Baja Fish Tacos - These were great. Crispy fish, delicious salsa.

The second best Bubba Gump experience, the first being the one at Santa Monica Pier. Our waiter was enthusiastic and friendly, and the food was great. Typical fried seafood is to be expected.

We will come here every time we come to universal with our passes! The food is great but the service is better! I’ve been coming here for 10+ years and they really do get better!
Willly the bartender is the man! Nathen was perfect and even kicked down a few tips on my upcoming trip to his home country, Australia.

Shrimpers net Catch is my recommendation with the scampi and if you don’t want shrimp... at a shrimp shack... the cheeseburger is the best I’ve ever had and would get it every day before work!
Oh and the garlic bread is the best I’ve ever had!

The wait was extremely long. Party of 2.

My husband and I were told the wait for 2 would be 20 minutes. Wow, great! That's nothing.

Except when he received his track your table text-it said party of 5....12 parties ahead of you!

So, about 10 minutes later-we approach the host to hopefully minimize our wait by changing the table to the correct 2 persons. It didn't change anything!

After about a 15 minute standing wait, outside in the cold-we were called to what we assumed would be our table. However, we were wrong! Once inside, we see MANY parties standing in a line once again. We were taken aback by it. Sort of awkward feeling. Almost as if we were standing in line for an amusement park attraction. We stood there waiting for probably another 20 minutes.

We were never asked if we were Landrys members. Which-WE ARE!! Had we known, we would have been upfront about the perks we could have had.

Now the good part-We ordered mozzarella sticks and shrimp cocktail for appetizers. They came out quickly by our awesome waiter. (My Sierra must tasted like soda water but they fixed it!)

The way you signal for service is neat. It is a sign that says, "run Forrest run" - meaning no service needed. And "stop Forrest stop!" - meaning service needed. And regardless of your waiter was nearby or not-if you had your service sign on Stop!-SOMEONE would stop!

I played trivia with my waiter and scored a 100-that was pretty fun and exciting. Never had that at a restaurant before!

The 4 option shrimp platter for my husband.
Both were delectable!

I hope my review helps others from being blindsided when going here!

Food was good. Especially liked the popcorn shrimp, the shrimp in Cajun, and the jambalaya rice dish. Service was efficient but lacking in other ways. When asked why we didn't get the icee projector light up cups with the kids meals, we were told we did not give the server any chance to tell us about it. The decor and ambience was great, loved the quotes on the wall.
