L & L Hawaiian BBQ

I love L & L Hawaiian bbq. Whenever I go to Oahu I always make sure to hit it, so I'm super happy that the chain has made it to the main land. The West Covina location is easy to find, and serves the same great food found in Hawaii. My favorite menu items are the Loco Moco, and Spam Musabi. I highly recommend it for great Hawaiian food, and super low prices.

The food here is pretty good and consistent in how it is made or at least tastes. Which I personally like because you know it's gonna always taste the same. I can feed a family of 8 with 4 combos and still have some food left over. My family enjoys the katsu chicken, bbq chicken (more like teriyaki) kalua pork with cabbage (my personal favorite) their macaroni salad is super yummy too! My son also enjoys their spam musubi.

So typically for 4 combos I spend a lil less than $40 which is a win for feeding a family of 8 while going out to eat. The only draw back is the outdated decor and their lack of customer service. But by no means does that change their food. So we'll be back!

They are all independently owned and operated, this one is just so so compared to others. Definitely not like those back home on the rock. But for simple stuff it will do. Loco moco, musubi selection is decent, get the Portuguese sausage musubi. Garlic shrimp is ok but now like shrimp trucks on North shore...I would say get the garlic mahi plate instead.

Best short rib combo, great macaroni salad, good service, Also fried shrimp and rice very good.
