Dago Taiwanese Restaurant- West Covina

Best Taiwanese food around. Big portion. Authentic!! Got to try the shaved ice too. Big fan of Dago!!

The food was excellent! Only reason I rated a 4 was because the beef soup at the Chino Hills location tasted slightly better to me for some reason and the meat was slightly more tender. Still good enough for me to order here again though! We also got the sausage fried rice (5 stars), crispy fried chicken thighs (5 stars), and scallion pancake (maybe a 4/5 by itself, but turned into a 5/5 dipped in the beef soup broth). We will definitely be repeat customers!

On a separate note, one of the bathrooms was pretty dirty, but it was easy to forgive because the dining area was clean and the food was so delicious.

The star of the night for us was the Sour and Spicy Cold Noodles with Fried Chicken Filet (椒麻雞涼麵), where the chicken was lightly breaded and fried to create a thin crispy outside and very tender and juicy inside. The Bamboo Shoot Pork Stew Rice (筍乾控肉飯) has very good pork, but the rice and the stir fried tomato with egg were both lukewarm.
The low point is the mushroom omelette, (素蛋煎)which was probably cooked at too low a temperature with too little oil. It was just a very flat layer of scrambled eggs. The little jar of sauce came directly from the refrigerator!

not a bad place with decent taiwanese food, service is a bit slower but food and prices are good.

Had lunch with my parents, grandma and a cousin and we all liked this place. We're a Taiwanese family and noticed a lot of nice Taiwanese restaurants have gone under over the years, but glad we stumbled upon this place. Would come back again.
