This spot has wonderful service and delightful meals. One of the best spot in the area. The drinks and food served rapidly and the rates are inexpensive. Will definitely recommend this spot.

Not sure what justifies the 3.9 rating but maybe it’s the fastidious clientele of Mill Valley. Judging this purely from the food, it was perfect. I really couldn’t believe this was the sister restaurant from the Beach Chalet from the other side of the bay. Whatever you do though, get a reservation! It was tough being a walk-in and having to hang out next to the hostesses in the front. Great experience!

    HIDDEN GEM IN MARIN.

I went in Monday, and they had their new Gravity Prime Rib menu... WOW!!

This is my 3rd time going to Gravity, the atmosphere there is great. Lighting is low, as well as ambient sound (even when full) making it easy to maintain a good and enjoyable conversation with whoever you are with. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable from what I have experience.

Food prices are good for food that is local and organic; and the seafood is caught the same day from what I was told.

The Prime Rib Monday is a great deal.

    You get a 3-course meal.
A salad, a 12oz prime rib with baked potato (it was delicious), and a pudding at the end that you will love even if you thought you weren't a pudding type of person (true story ;) )

They serve some type of made in house bread and butter.
Totally worth it for $35, i would definitely recommend gravity to anyone looking for great quality food and cocktails, oh and its family owned.

    :)

We stopped by Gravity Tavern for happy hour after hiking the Tennessee Valley Trailhead. We enjoyed some cocktails (the strawberry rose lemon drop is delicious!) along with a few small plates. The tater tots were unique (sort of a deep-fried potato puree) and the Gravity Sliders (we tried The Cow and The Bird) were delicious. We received friendly and excellent service, and would be back - if we were locals!

Interesting to see mixed reviews on here. I ate dinner here last night and was pleasantly surprised by a number of things: reasonably comprehensive menu, excellent cocktails, and a decent wine selection as well. Our waiter was pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable. The cocktails were elaborate but not over the top. The pork ribs were fall off the bone soft and delicious. I would definitely go back. It was a very enjoyable experience.
