Le Col Rouge

The chicken sandwich was the best I’ve ever tasted. The crust on the chicken was not greasy at all and had the perfect seasonings and crunch. Meat was plentiful and moist. Coleslaw really nicely done with a tasty dressing. Pickles resembled bread and butter and very good. Service was friendly. Want to try other dishes next time if this is any indication of the quality. They use good organic chicken for starters which makes a huge difference. Please stay put in Novato!

I got on of the specials today, Chicken and waffles, chicken was moist and the batter was crisp and well flavored. I wish that I wasn't too skerd to try the hotter versions of the chicken, there are three: skerd, dang and redneckulous, but thankfully there is a shaker with extra spices to kick up your chicken. I had my mild chicken with Tabasco and a dash of the extra spices.

Dining room has lots of seating options and TVs everywhere. Sweet tea is perfectly sweet! The spicy chicken had heat, but wasn't as hot as I expected. The sides are great. Okra was delicious. Mac n cheese was ooey gooey good. Great slaw with great flavor! Service was fast and food hot.

Usually the chicken is really really good. This time, not so much. It was a little chewy. But normally it's tender and juicy. The cole slaw is sooooo good. As is the peach cobbler. I'm giving it 5 stars anyway as this was kind of miss whereas every other time it's been fantastic. Great service too.

Our family made a first visit last night to this friendly and excellent restaurant and we hope to visit again soon. The owner and host made us feel very welcome indeed and the staff were both helpful and attentive. The menu was fun and easy to read. We all chose different things and all thought their dishes were very tasty and well presented. We were amazed at the good value. We went home happy and looking forward to our next visit.
