    Between a great menu and stellar service it is easy to see why Insalata's had been a success for more than two decades?

    Excellent Mediterranean food. Quiet, peaceful place. Had lunch here and they did not rush us. They even allowed some men to play a card game at there table after lunch. Also has takeout.

    Excellent food and superb service! Food so good that I bought some from their small deli to have for dinner.

    Food was good however I am a picky eater so I had to search the menu for something that appealed to me..but it was very good. The ambiance is very nice and casual. I felt the service could have been more attentive. I asked for bread that never arrived. My party was satisfied but there was no WOW factor present.

    A truly delicious dinner. Each dish exhibiting a flavorful blend of spices that made me realize how bland most restaurant food is. The pasta, steak and lamb were rich in flavors -a mix of Mediterranean and middle eastern touches. Service excellent and prices so reasonable after you experience the restaurants in San Francisco that cater too much to the homogeneous tastes of tourists
