Food tastes great. Insanely petty policies and up-charges around substitutions. I ordered 'Classic Benedict' ($28) and asked to hold the Canadian bacon and add Avocado. Waiter, Nestor, warns me that there's an additional charge for adding Avo and no subs. OK... Wife orders Cavallo Point breakfast ($24) with choice of Apple wood Smoked bacon, Chicken Sausage or Avocado. (see where this is going?) Food arrives and hers has a HUGE amount of sliced Avo while mine has maybe three thinly sliced layers, clearly cut from the same Avo as hers. (delicious, but wait for it...) Got the bill and the Avo added was $5 for me. Turns out, Nestor wasn't so transparent about all the Xtra charges - that 'almond milk' he gave me an open option for while ordering my cappuccino was $1 extra, as well. Sad that such great food in a great location has petty management that creates such draconian policies. Just money, but on principle I am posting this review so anyone reading this knows they are going to get nickel and dimed to death while they are paying through the nose for extras. Oh, and another note: I made a reservation for Brunch... but your host tries to seat us in the worst seat in the house first? (Then somehow magically comes-up with a booth when I protest) Farley - your food is great, but your policies are low class.
The place has beautiful views of the city and Golden Gate bridge if you get a table outside. The food (burger, arancini, burrata, desserts) were really good and the presentation was spot on. The cocktails were good as well. My only gripe was the slow and inattentive service. I am not sure if they were short staffed.
Stopped in for a nice IPA and appetizers. Cozy setting, excellent service, good selection of beers on tap, and the arancini was to die for. :)
This was our first time having brunch at Farley and it was a great experience. The restaurant has a very sophisticated look, cozy and warm ambience super inviting. Our waiter Nico was exceptional. I had the chicken sandwich with a martini espresso. They were both amazing. My wife had the chicken noodle salad and she liked it. I recommend you make a reservation before coming here on weekends especially.
