Convict Lake Resort

We stayed at the Convict Lake Resort during our elopement week. Everyone at Convict Lake was very accommodating and welcoming (even let us check into our cabins early so we could start getting ready for our ceremony). Our wedding dinner was at the Restaurant, where they gave us the entire back room. Great service and food! Can’t wait to return for our future anniversaries. Thanks Convict Lake!!

We stayed in the Morrison Cabin and had a great time. There's a bar & restaurant and a cute little store that sells souvenirs, beer, wine, snacks, etc.. there's also a grassy hangout spot with wedding venue accommodations and gorgeous mountain views! The horseback ride to Convict Lake was fun for riders of all levels. The ride is a bit physical so it might not be best for sensitive groups. Lots of deer roaming around and only a 2 minute drive to Convict Lake.

Food presentation is stupendous. My plate looked like a painting.
Unfortunately, my duck was inedible and I had to send it back. The skin wasn't crispy and the fat was cool and gelatinous. Very unappetizing. I exchanged it for the Beef Wellington which was very good. Cooked perfectly.
The homemade ice cream was terribly disappointing, it had the texture of sawdust as there was so much shredded coconut there was a lack of creaminess, and it fell apart.

We enjoyed our time at the Convict Lake Resort. We had the Brook Cabin. It was nice and cozy. The cabin was equipped with a gas grill and a decent size fridge. The kitchen came fully equipped. The resort has a store that has pretty much everything you could need. There’s a food truck type grill as well as a really nice restaurant. This place is great. There is definitely some wildlife. We were warned of bears. The dear are not afraid of people either. All of the staff we dealt with were nice and helpful. Convict Lake resort is an excellent cabin resort with so many great places to visit nearby. I hope to stay here again.
