We have been coming to the Valley Kitchen for over four years and the dining has always been suburb! This visit however something had noticeably changed (new management, or maybe a change in chef) and the whole experience was different.
To start, the waitress (who seemed annoyed to be at work) did not review the menu with us, or discuss the daily specials (which is something that always occurred in the past) instead we had to inquire on one of her quick stops by our table. Her explanation was brief and only a few words, so we weren’t sold on why the specials were, special!
The food, once it arrived, was just ok and largely under seasoned. My husband’s potatoes had a strange metallic taste and had to be sent back. The filet I ordered had virtually no salt on it and the red wine jous was no where to be found. This is such a departure from the food we have tasted in the past - so were really disappointed.
We hate to say it, but will have to think twice about dining at the kitchen again. At $160 for two adults and a child the whole meal/experience was just not worth it...

Good ingredients but bland food and uninspiring execution. Lack of attention to detail throughout. Even basics like the breakfast omelette could be done better (overcooked and dry). They could use a top-shelf chef to reinvigorate the kitchen. We enjoyed the resort as a whole but tried to mostly eat in town.
