Nice atmosphere (and small outdoor seating area enjoyable when the weather is nice), and good food... though a bit pricey ($8/beer, $36 for pork chop, etc.)
We enjoyed our duck confit kale salad (a larger portion than I expected, too), pork chop, and lamb (I would place them in that order — the lamb itself wasn’t anything special, but the lentils served with it were very good), and a nice dense meyer lemon bread pudding for dessert.
Good restaurant (and right in town where I work), but I will probably only come for special occasions due to the high prices
Great food, excellent service. A wonderful spot in downtown Calistoga.
Very charming in every way.
This restaurant is owned by the same owner of Zazie in SF, which is a San Francisco favorite. So coming here I was hoping she had done it again. And let me tell you, the food was delicious! They offered both classics and some more unique items which I feel would make it ideal for everyone. Everything was fresh and of very high quality ingredients. They had a very curated, but very high quality (read: tasty) wine selection.
Service was great. The restaurant was packed and the staff was always attentive, clearly running around to be sure every single table was happy. It's nice to see people who put so much pride in their work.
Clean and well styled. Good atmosphere. The name is also a fun historical reference!
Friendly service and good ambience. My favorite form the menu is the mushroom risotto. The lamb shank was good but was just like warm, colder than expected. But the flat bread came with it was delicious! Least favor was the chicken tiki dish.
