It's rare in Calistoga to find a dining establishment with both excellent food AND a full liquor license. Fortunately, Bricco Osteria is one such place! As the name promises, Bricco offers a breadth of excellent Italian dishes that could hold their own in both Rome's old town and the discerning neighborhood Osteria. And since they've shelled out for the rare full liquor license, Bricco is going to make damn sure you know it: the cocktails are more than worth the $$$. A must visit!

Best Italian food I have ever

The spinach soup - it melt with the flavor of cheese!

The mussels with freshest taste and the match of unforgettable of the white sauce is a must try.

Calamari - so impress with the sides

Low temp braised beef. - the beef is super soft, you can use the fork to easily tears and separate it. With the pasta infuse so well with the red sauce the the juice of the beef

Tiramisu. Worths to wait. This is the first tiramisu I ever have with the lady fingers are still crunchy. Cream is super smooth!

Overall, an excellent meal. Yummy food with good portions, flawless service, comfortable atmosphere.

Arancini - could feel individual pieces of risotto, lightly fried, balanced and light tomato sauce, no skimp on basil leaves. I wouldn't be mad if there was some more cheese. Would order again.
Bruschetta - fresh with plenty of basil. Bread was dense without being mushy, but I felt it was slightly too dense.
Seafood linguine - perfectly cooked seafood, al dente pasta, balanced sauce. Would order again.
Lamb shank osso bucco - perfectly cooked lamb, creamy risotto, some freshness from the asparagus. Delicious. The fat drippings from the lamb made the risotto borderline unctuous, so I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Others' photos of lamb shank sauce seem less fatty than the one I ate.

Wines by the glass were good. No official cocktail menu yet, but our server did mention they had cocktails. I'm curious to try but wanted wine today.

Service was attentive, accommodating, and smooth. I'd love to go back.

Found this restaurant traveling back from Nappa. It's a great little restaurant that has recently open in Calistoga. Small restaurant maybe 10-12 tables busy during dinner hours. The kitchen is wide open to the left as you walk in. You can smell the wonderful aroma of Italian dishes being made. We arrived with no reservations waited maybe 15 minutes for a table. We were served complimentary wine while we waited, kodos to that! Service was good given how busy it was. Dishes were tasty loved the bruschetta, great wines to compliment the dinners. We had lasagna and the veal special both were delicious.

I recently dined at Bricco Osteria and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The menu offered a variety of authentic Italian dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I especially loved the homemade pasta dishes - they were absolutely delicious! The service was also top-notch, with the staff being knowledgeable and attentive. Overall, I highly recommend Bricco Osteria for anyone looking for a truly authentic Italian dining experience. I can't wait to go back!
