Emmy Lou's Diner

We are visiting Napa for a couple of months and have visited Emmy Lou's a few times. They do a great job with both breakfast and lunch. Service is fast and friendly. Atmosphere is basic casual diner. We've enjoyed everything we've ordered, but the steak sandwich is my favorite.

After several times eating here, trying to become a regular customer, they have failed to not only 'listen' to my orders, but other things they serve, they are lazy about preparing. This time i'm done. Enough chances.
I ordered my hash browns 'extra crispy' but NO, they can't get that right. They were soft and mushy. And as far as their so-called 'Buttered toast' what a joke. There was a spot about the size of a dime on one slice and No butter whatsoever on the other slice. Of course they offer to get more butter for your cold toast and to re--fry the hash browns while your eggs get colder, but no thank you. I have better things to do than wait again.
I REALLY don't think I'll return. I've given too many chances. Im sure they are better to their regulars.

Great little Mom and Pop diner nestled in a shopping center in Napa Valley. Comfort foods in a relaxing environment. We just finished hiking at Skyline Ridge park and we were dusty and sweaty, nothing but smiles and lots of hellos from the staff. I had a Reuben and fries, my wife had a patty melt and the kids went for grilled cheese sandwiches. All very tasty. It's the kind of restaurant you go to 2 or 3 times a week for lunch because you really like the food and the price is right.
