What a great restaurant. Quiet with a fantastic atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Had the steak frites and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Dessert was also incredible. After a weekend in Napa this place felt like a hidden gem and was easily the best food we’d had the whole trip.
Our first time dining at the Village Bistro. Never even new this little gem existed. It is tucked away in the courtyard at the Meritage Resort and Spa. Loved the interior of the restaurant immediately! Great, contemporary, intimate space. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent…. from the butter lettuce / greens and goat cheese salad, to the bouillabaisse, roasted chicken, and a delicious french ice cream and berry dessert, we were both very happy with our dinners and the wine. Looking forward to returning soon, and we will be recommending it to our friends…
We had an excellent meal here— salmon for my wife and lamb saddle for me. Everything was delicious and the service/ ambiance were also very good. Definitely recommended.
Beautiful venue with gorgeous flowers and fountain. 5 star service from Anthony are server. (He was patient and kind). Food 3.5- No bread and butter served, entrees do not come with hardly any vegetables or a starch. (Expensive for entree) I had the boulibasse, but no fish flavor in broth and one large piece of fennel with hard part of the root left on! The fancy bowl was nightmare to eat out of. Broth was cold and splashed every where. My mother had the lamb- again the vegetable was hard (not cooked correctly: use the tender part of leeks next time). I have a feeling meal not cooked by a chef- as these are rookie mistakes? The dessert overly sweet.
I had one of the best dinners ever at Village Bistro at the Meritage Resort and Spa!! The Lamb Saddle was cooked to perfection by Chef Carlo! This place fills a niche that was needed in Napa
Maya behind the bar mixed up amazing cocktails and recommended a savory Beef Tartare and it was paired perfectly with a Puy Boudreaux!! Amazing ambience and team at this Bistro!
