El Pollo Loco

Yummy chicken. It is a chain of fast food chicken and salads, tacco, nachos, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, wide selection of Mexican food. Reasonable prices too.

I don't want to come off like I'm cheap or bitter. I like chicken and I've always liked Pollo Loco. I don't know what's put into their marinate but it gives their chicken such good flavor. My issue has to do with the size of the chicken. I was in high school, in the mid 80's, when I became a customer. I don't know if the chickens have become smaller or if they now grow dwarf chickens but I swear they continue to get smaller each year. The problem with that is the price continues to go up. I say if the chickens get smaller the prices should shrink accordingly.

I'm still a customer but my visits have shrunk just like the size of their chickens.

I was hesitant to come here because of some of the reviews. My visit was on a Thursday at 1:30 PM. I chose to go inside. Parking is sparse, so I just parked over by Carl's. Staff was friendly and helped me with ordering options. Everyone was busy and the place was clean. Service was fast and courteous with a smile and the tamale/taco combo was delicious.
