Water Grill South Coast Plaza

My wife and I were on a business trip and had a free evening to spend with another couple. My wife did a little research and found the Water Grill. We were blown away by the experience. The food and ambiance were top notch, but what separates the good and great restaurants is the service and the Water Grill hit that out of the park. Stephanie our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and was incredibly kind to us. The manager Eliza stopped by and was also fantastic. We greatly enjoyed and were appreciative of such a fantastic experience.

Excellent food and services! Wish we had ordered a crab!! Next time! Crab Benedict was superb! The special pancakes were dessert!! Clam Chowder was the best! All in all an EXCELLENT meal! We will be back!

Great service, properly cooked fish, BUT NO FLAVOR and high prices. Fresh fish, properly cooked is bland, no significant flavor on its own. Flavor is imparted by spices. Sadly, the cooks have absolutely no concept about spices beyond mildly hot pepper and garlic.

Save your money and enjoy the same bland but well prepared seafood at King's Seafood (owner of Water Grill).

Very disappointing food.

What else can you say. Fantastic food. Great interior with modern nautical theme and wonderful staff. It’s everything you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. I really like the design of the restaurant, the way it’s segmented into indoor/outdoor/dark booth sections. Plus the way the bar sits under the glass ceiling. If you want a special night, you should scope out the restaurant before hand to find your space.
