While visiting Bloomingdales for the first time, we saw a picture of this restaurant’s signature xiao long bao on their window. We decided to come back to try out the different flavors of these soup dumplings. We didn’t come once, but twice. First time we ordered the dumplings, wonton soup, wood ear, and pork chop. For our second trip, we were joined by a visitor from Taiwan who shared with us this restaurant group’s brand of over 10 eateries all over Asia . And how lucky we were to have stumbled upon their first North American restaurant here in OC. For our second trip we tried fried rice, noodle soup, tofu, cucumber, and ordered two deserts, black sesame mochi, and red bean glutinous rice roll. Both were freshly made, soft, easy bite and just the right amount of sweetness. Overall the portions are not huge, as you might expect, the pork chop has a soft skin, not the crispy Japanese style pork Katsu. Every dish was well prepared. They even elevated the taste of a simple fried-rice. The decor is upscale modern, the service was prompt. The server patiently explained their menu, their signature and popular dishes for us to try. When we couldn’t finish our meal, our leftovers were packed in an insulated bag. Next time we are in OC, we would definitely have a meal there again. If you do try their soup dumplings, remember to start with the original flavor, then work up the flavors: black truffle, cheese, crab, garlic, BbQ pork, Szechuan and finally kimchi. No, the kimchi is not too intense, you can do it.

A spot for all things good. A wonderful surprise mall experience. Got to try a lot of things this time as we had 2 families to order and to eat for. Soup dumplings were crisp and clean. The 8 pack variety has something for everyone. Cucumbers i my opinion are better than the din tai fung cucumber appetizer. The hot flavors of the spicy dishes are reminiscent of Szechuan spices but not as pungent and in your face. Pork chop fried rice was amazing, savory. Green beans reduced spice was a good veggie to top us off.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. I think Paradise Dynasty is just as good as Din Tai Fung. I am a vegetarian, and most dumpling houses do not offer vegan dumplings and vegan menu items, so the choices here were exceptional. Our server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is quite large with a lot of tables. I would definitely come back again and try the different dishes.

My son ordered the original Xiao Long Bao, which he thought was delicious. I ordered the Vegetable Won Ton in Chili Oil which was very good. I would definitely order this again. I also ordered the Stir Fried Noodles with Vegetables which was very flavorful and lots of taste. The Crispy Vegetable Spring Roll was good, nice & crispy. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch at Paradise Dynasty and look forward to the other dishes. Come hungry, though.

I love coming to paradise dynasty when I’m at south coast plaza. The food here is always good and consistent. Our favorites are the pork soup dumplings, pork and shrimp chili dumplings, hot and sour soup, Hong Kong style beef, string beans, and cucumbers. Every time we get these items we are so happy with them. We always want more. The service is always really friendly and efficient. The wait can be a little long sometimes but if you come on a weekday you should be able to get in pretty quick. I like to sit at the bar if it’s open!

Overall, the food is great and the same could be said for the atmosphere. However, the service can be improved. It took around 30 minutes for our food to finally arrive and when it did our server was also not as attentive as he was to other tables. I'm not sure if he assumed or jumped to a conclusion about us. We did notice he was boxing the to-go plates for others and we boxed up our own meals. I mean it was only my wife and I and we were spending upwards of 150 on dinner. Even though we weren't there to celebrate anything in particular and were just grabbing dinner after running errands, the service should still have been better. For a restaurant, with this price point and reputation you would expect a little more high level service...

Also, the check was brought out promptly instead of asking us if we wanted dessert. I had to tell him that we were still going to order dessert. Frankly, it feels like one of those places where if you're not dressed up, look young or too casual you'll be looked over and treated with less of a priority.

When I come back or recommend to family and friends? Nope 🤷

    Do better Do (waiter). 🧑‍💼
