Summit House Restaurant

Very elegant and pricey place to dine. Live piano player. Bar is fully stocked and well served in chilled glasses. Adequate parking. Great service.

Just walking in you know you will have a wonderful experience. The fireplaces, aromas from the kitchen and the decor all combine to give you the feeling of being a guest in the Very large kitchen of manor house. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The food as flavorful and fresh as advertised and the drinks a pleasant catalyst to a great time.

We have eaten at the Summit House several times.
As always, the service was excellent, the food was perfectly cooked and very delicious. We both had the Chilean Sea Bass.

The two different rooms we have been seated in are both very nice but in different ways. The main room by the bar has a huge fireplace that gives the room a cozy feel. There is a wall of windows and limited window seating. The other room is light and airy. More of a garden feel. You can probably enjoy the view from any table in this room.

It’s a great place to go for special occasions. There’s a bar you can theoretically wait in until you are seated. It’s rather small. We couldn’t find a seat. We didn’t have to wait long.

I highly recommend making reservations to limit wait time. It was cold in the entry area. Every time the door opened a big gust of cold air blew in. When we were walking to our table, I saw additional seating past the kitchen we could have sat at.

Always the best of service, and amazing prime rib. This has been a go to spot for my wife and I since we started dating years ago, and has always been terrific. Even a little something from the crew for our anniversary this year.

Do wish they would bring back the old eastern/cabin attire for the waiters and waitresses. It added that little bit of extra authenticity and distinctiveness to the excellent atmosphere.

If you are looking for the perfect place to have your next date night, The Summit House is the place to go. I dined here for the first time during the holidays and had an unforgettable meal. The exterior of the restaurant looks like it came right out of a storybook, and the interior is very plush.

When it comes to the food, they are one of the few restaurants in Orange County that serves meat from the world famous Stockyards of Chicago. If you don't know about the Stockyards of Chicago, it is the highest quality meat available in the United States. I was able to taste the freshness of the meat with every bite, and the chef seasons it to perfection.

Then there are the views! I recommend coming early for cocktails at the bar and then a romantic walk around the property before dinner. The restaurant is located on top of a hill so that guests can enjoy beautiful views of Orange County.
