Best fish and chips served with prawns.
Just delicious... 😋
They also own the bar across which is great... 🍻
I was watching Kitchen Nightmares ad watched Gordon make some mouth watering Fish n Chips. That’s how I got a craving and found this spot. So glad I found this place. The fish batter is crispy and fish is so tender. The fries are seasoned perfectly and the tartar sauce is delicious. I also tried the Samosas. They were yummy little crispy bites. The inside reminded me of curry, it also comes with a sweet and tangy sauce. We took this to-go so I can’t really speak for the seating and ambiance but it was lively for a Friday night.
One of the few choices open on Sunday afternoon, we grabbed the Fish and Chips and shrimp and chips. Ask to substitute onion rings. Fries were like steak cut and were fine, but other places nearby have better fries, I still ate 1/2 of these. Fish was well battered but there were spots where it was still doughy. Shrimp was a bit better, but not amazing enough for 5/5. Our party had folks who lived in England and they were saying it was American style and fell short of being authentic.
The most austenitic British chippy you can find in southern California! This place reminds me of the fish and chips in Whitby. The fish is a whole big fish fillet taste very juicy and tasty. The batter is crisp, crunchy, and golden with no hollow gaps/air pockets. The owner has perfected his batter. The chips are proper chunky, not American fries. This place is a cure for UK home sickness. There's even bottles of malt viniger at the till. Did I mention their scampi? Jumbo, juicy, tasty, and tender. This place is a Brits must try!
I was so excited to try London Chippy, it's been a long time since I've had fish and chips. This place didn't disappoint! I tried the fried cod, chips, and onion rings. Everything was delicious, but next time I'll skip the onion rings and get more chips. The pepper and other seasoning on the chips made them really, really good. The service was quick and very friendly, I'll definitely be back.
