Laguna Cafe

A local diner for local people. People scrambling for their temporary square foot of sand at Laguna Beach may never come here. However they would miss the most gregarious and personable service for miles around.

Ordered take out (salad) and waited for quite awhile at the cashier to pay once I got there. Brought my salad back to the office and noticed that the dressing was already on it. Most restaurants, put the dressing on the side when someone orders take out so it doesn't get all soupy. The salad is good but by the time I got to eat it...it was soggy (note the pool of dressing in the container). Spend the extra few cents and put a dressing container in the box with the dressing on the side next time someone orders take out salad. For $16...I would expect I shouldn't have to ask for it.

I had the huevos rancheros for breakfast and some grapefruit juice. Both were very good and reasonably priced ($17 for both).

The tortilla under the beans and eggs was nicely fried (a little crunchy), just how I like it. 👍🏼

The atmosphere in this place is country kitchen and the seating is family style.
Everyone was very friendly. 😊

Awesome place. Ordered Spanish Omelette and I asked to add spinach. It comes with their house fries and sourdough(my choice) toast. Nice place and good food. Staff is very welcoming.

Very nice ladies working here. Hard working and very personable. Felt like stepping into a restaurant that loves all things American. Thank you for the wonderful greeting and service.
