    The chicken coop is a Newport Beach institution. it hasn't changed hardly a bit over the years except they took the sawdust off the floor. Now the patrons are replacing it with peanut shells.

    we know the staff well they're friendly always greet us with a smile and a handshake. It's a great place frequented by mostly locals.

    It's all good.Old school local spot. Pan fried calamari strips are awesome. Prime rib always there for $20.Fish& chips are the best in Newport and you won't even be able to finish it .Broasted chicken made here before certain Shack owners were probably born. Twice as much for half the price. But don't come here, I don't want to wait for a stool.

    An Orange County institution. This place is, and always has been, FANTASTIC!!! Great staff, great food, strong drinks, big portions, HUGE value!!! I recommend this place to EVERYONE. Whether you sit at the bar or get a table in the dining room, it's a GREAT experience! Don't forget to have breakfast here sometime as thier breakfast is a FEAST.

    Friendliest place on earth. Great food. Great service. The owners treat you like you're an invited guest in their home.
