Hook and Anchor Fish & Lobster House

Only complaint is that they didn't have 2/3 of the seafood on their menu, but that turned out to be a good thing...I got the lobster tails, instead of the swordfish, and it was delicious! Lobster tails were well cooked and were easily removed from the shells. The roasted string beans and roasted carrots were unexpectedly awesome! Their soda machine has an automatic ice maker and the decor is marine cool, they even call the bathroom the "Poop Deck"! A restaurant that I will definitely be returning to! You should visit it also, when in Newport Beach/Costa Mesa!

We went for an early lunch. I was going for the lobster roll, but changed my mind to Manila clams on pasta, the day's special. So glad I did as there were plenty of sweet and tender clams and the sauce/broth was light and flavorful. Husband had a piece of grilled swordfish with the lemon caper sauce over green beans. Fish was perfectly cooked. The green salad was just ok.

The salad alone was more satisfying then most of the meals I’ve had. Had surf and turf and it was amazingly fabulous. Possibly the best food I’ve ever had so a pretty decent price in l.a

Fish and chips are awesome! Wife had the lobster roll, and said it was the best she ever had. Already been back once, for the same two meals, since our first visit last week.

Always an excellent experience with my taste buds being so very satisfied. Everything on the menu is great, I especially love the grilled Romaine salad. All the fish is fresh caught I'm prepared to perfection. If you like steak, they have an excellent flat iron steak that goes with the surf and turf dish and you can't lose if you're a fan if both proteins. You must come and enjoy the flavors of hook & Anchor!
