Fried chicken was delicious, ribs were good, and they make a mean Fashion (with real vanilla)

Cool ambience. Good food such as the poke and the chicken entree. However the banana sundae is not that great. It looks great, but it doesn't taste great. First of all they use some kind of alcohol in it that contrasts with the rest of the dish. The pastry cream is flavorless as is the ice cream. The ice cream itself is of the lowest grade.

So happy that I walked into this new restaurant by David Wilhelm. I fell IN LOVE with the Santa Fe Caesar, so I chose this place to host our company's annual awards dinner. I have since been back to try their famous Buttermilk Fried Chicken - TO DIE FOR!!! - and can't wait to have their "Vera Cruz" Red Snapper on my next visit! And there is so much more! ...... Oh, my! Did I mention the view of the harbor?

Everything we ordered was good. Hostess was kind and helpful. The scenery was nice outside. Valet parking was pointless at the time we showed up and left. They literally took our car and parked in the many open spots right at the entrance. The parking lot was pretty empty and so was the restaurant. Minus 1 star for the useless valet. All the food was delicious. I can't complain about that. The waitress was very nice and super helpful in everything. Minus 1 star for the prices. None of the prices were reasonable for what you get. 3 people came out to $160. No alcohol. Waters and soda. Entree for each and appetizer to share all together. I don't mind spending money but not on foolish things like valet and $30 beef stroganoff lol I even left the waitress a $40 tip because she did a great job and kept up with every little detail we asked for. Very accommodating.
