The venue is gorgeous, the staff are amazing, and the food was phenomenal! Corey and her team there really took our reception to the next level with how awesome they were. If you are considering South of Nick's for any event, stop hesitating, and just do it. You won't regret it!

(April 1, 2019, 1:41 am)The chips are airy and delicious. The salsa wasn't to my liking but there were three options. Got the combo; cheese enchilada and a shredded beef taco with black beans. It was delicious!!! Others in my party got the Gringo salad it was huge and they super dug it as well. We ended with the butter cake. It was AMAZING!!!!!! A side note if you are a fountain soda lover it's not available. They use single serve glass bottles.

(March 30, 2019, 12:15 pm)South of Nick’s is on a different level than most Mexican restaurants. A very relaxed atmosphere helps you settle into their comfortable booth. Our group shared multiple appetizers that were all excellent. Our meal was great along with cocktails that I’ve never heard of before. I believe the churros were designed to share, but I ate the whole thing myself. While the drinks were a little slow our service was excellent. Great place!

(March 13, 2019, 4:02 am)South of Nick's in San Clemente is charming, with excellent food. It's on a higher culinary level than most Mexican restaurants in the US, but not stuffy or pretentious. The service was friendly and efficient. It seems to be a very busy restaurant. We went for a weekday lunch and saw that reservations would have been a good idea. But we walked in without a reservation, small party, and were started at the bar and then moved to a table when one opened. I would definitely go back.

(March 8, 2019, 7:35 pm)Very good tasting food. I can't tell the staff and management enough how awesome it is that the waiters bring you refills on salsa and chips without having to ask. I have had several items on the menu and can attest to the fact that it is one of the best in the area. I, personally, have had better. Do not discredit my review. South of Nick's is a great Mexican restaurant
