Do yourself a favor and eat here! The food and drinks were so good, I didn’t want to leave. We ordered the margarita flight, calamari, seafood enchiladas, and butter cake with chocolate mousse and vanilla ice cream. WOW, just WOW! Great service all around.
This is such a great aspirin to the San Clemente food landscape!
The restaurant is lovely inside. It's open and spacious with a great bar.
The staff all around are wonderful and attentive, fast and personable.
And then the food... the ribs looked amazing (a friend at our table had them and was impressed), the bowls are great and the appetizers are delish.
Drinks too. A well rounded selection, a few of their own and a few solid standards.
Highly recommend trying this place!
If you dine at a Mexican restaurant and the chips and salsa are no bueno, chances are the food would suck too. Not the case with Sol Agave! The chips were delicious as were both the salsa and bean dip.
Two of us both tried the Agave salad with chicken - also absolutely delicious! The presentation was really attractive and they used a variety of greens and etc that made it simply perfect. The chicken was all breast, seasoned to perfection, and very juicy - actually, I couldn't finish all the chicken; very generous portion.
The only drawback was that both doors were open and it's only 58 out.... we both froze. Will definitely come back when the weather is warmer.
Margarita flights of fancy! yummy, what a way to start a meal. add is some pork belly bites and ceviche for starters and I highly recommend going for the sea bass for a main entree.. Delicious beyond explanation. also this seems to be the sparkler capital for birthday celebrations.. they definitely make that fun. we had such an wonderful experience.. A great date night dinner spot.. or double date with your favorite people and you will not be disappointed
Went for lunch. A little pricey for Mexican BUT well worth it based on my first time. Sat on the patio and service was spot on. Ordered the crab stuffed bacon wrapped jalapenos. Delicious! They should make an entree out of them. The table also had the short rib taquitos to split. Well done! Also ordered the Al Pastor Entree, again delicious, well prepared and worth a couple dollars more. We shall return!
