after having spoken to the lady on the phone, I knew I would eventually come into the shop so I took the 30 minute drive to Santa Ana and needless to say, u was not disappointed. The shop is inside the fourth street market. We found parking, walked In and easily found the small shop. As soon as i walked up I told the young lady behind the counter that i had come all the way from south L.A. lol. She was very friendly and acomidating. We sampled the ice cream even though I was there specifically for the baked goods but I'm glad I did. Their icecream are not the run of the mill flavors. I tried the Horchata, the raspberry cobbler and the Rose water (with a hint of jalapeño in it) and decided to have a scoop of the Rosewater flavor. This icecream is devinity at its purest (IMO) its creamy but light, sweet but slightly tangy and just plain delicious. We took a dozen assorted cookies with home with us. I was specifically craving a good chocolate chip cookie but I'm glad I got an assortment as they are all good. I tasted the red velvet, macha, chocolate chip, chocolate chocolate chip, s'mores, peanut butter and snickerdoodle. Like I said, they're all tasty, crispy outside, chewy inside melty goodness. Im totally glad we made the trek.

    Cookies: GOOD.
    Ice cream: GOOD.

Cookies and ice cream, together, in sandwich? Unbelievable! Although there are so many cookie choices here I decided to go with the traditional chocolate chip cookie work a butterscotch/toffee bits stuffed in between.

The sandwich itself was sizeable. Only thing not good: how fast the ice cream melted. Probably not more than 1 minute after, the ice cream had already started melting. I was given a fork with the sandwich earlier, to which I thought, "who eats ice cream sandwiches with a fork?". Quickly found out why.

Next time I might have to get a open faced ice cream sandwich with one cookie to see if the ice cream melts as fast. Plus it's cheaper.

If you're in the mood for a great ice cream sandwich cookie, find to the Chunk n' Chip.

The cashier was SUPER helpful! And had great suggestions. I tried the lavender honey cookies with a pineapple mango ice cream. It had sage. Yes the herb. There is no way I would have ordered this combo alone. Great staff!
