Faka's Island Grill

Good Faka'n Food!! We enjoyed everything we tried. Katsu sando was really good (ask for a knife, too messy to keep it whole and eat it). The slightly mustardy sauce goes well on the katsu fried chicken and the slaw adds a nice tang without overpowering. We also tried the trio of tacos. For anyone confused (as we were) with the Longanisa taco that says Portuguese sausage in the description, its sort of like a combination of the two, maybe more like chorizo? We could taste a slight sweetness like longanisa but it was meaty like Portuguese sausage, kind of hard to explain but its good. The katsu spam was also good, but our favorite was the porkbelly. If we ordered this again, we'd probably get 2 pork and 1 longanisa. The wonton nachos were really good, but if you don't like spicy, ask for the sauce on the side. Might want to do that anyway because the wonton chips get soggy if you don't eat fast enough, but they're really good! They were out of burger patty so no loco moco ???? but the katsu plate was legit. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side FYI. We also shared a So'mo fries which were really good as well.

This location is inside the 4th Street Market. There are two city parking garages behind the restaurant which offer the first 2 hours free. Faka's also validates if you ask, that extends your parking to 3 hours. There are tables and chairs (food court style) and a public restroom that's fairly well kept. You can also take your food to go or order via delivery service, whatever works.

For anyone with food allergies, they were very accommodating. I messaged them ahead of time to make sure of what items might contain things I was allergic to and I was easily able to avoid any issues. Thanks, Dave!!

Love the mixed plate with Chicken Katsu & Garlic Shrimp. It comes with a few grilled pineapple & Macaroni salad and rice. The shrimp is tasty and chicken is yummy ????

The customer service was great! The food was really good! I would reccomend this place to anyone that is looking for some good Pacific island grill. The steak and shrimp plate was amazing. Loved the burst of flavors from the shrimp to the steak and how well the coleslaw soaked up all the juices! The faka fries were also really good! I will be back to try other entrees they have on the menu! Great experience!

The food here is so AMAZING. We have already been here a few times and ordered almost the entire menu and have never been disappointed. First off their flavor is combination is so unique and delicious. At first we were skeptic so we tried out just the loaded fries(really hard to mess up loaded fries). I didn’t realize the fries came with sauce on top already but boy I’m glad it did. Whatever their house sauce is it’s crazy good. The portions are humongous and they are so generous with the meat. After the fries blew us away we went back in to try some tacos. Again we were taken back by the fusion options for tacos but said screw it since it was so cheap. Faka’s blew us away with the fries but the tacos caught us so off guard. We tried the spam and the pork belly and the flavor was through the charts. Ever since our first experience we have tried almost the entire menu and everything just keeps blowing us away.
