Five of us who met on a tour of Burma just had to revisit our time there. We had the traditional Tea Leaf Salad and several other dishes to share. It was a very special evening for us.

Everything was marvelous, from the food to the service! The tea leaves salad was the best salad I've ever had. And while I normally find tofu kind of bland, the chickpea tofu at Irrawaddy was silky and full of flavor.

This place is excellent overall. We always get Burmese when we come to CA as we don’t get it in our state. The waiters were very sweet and recommended some great dishes. They were prompt in bringing our food and attentive to refilling our drinks and checking on us. They were so kind as to give us a champagne gift for the new year. Food was excellent. Nicely spiced and they had a good variety on the menu. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Southern California!

At Irrawaddy I found palate of flavors rarely found, as it is in a shopping area proliferated with chain restaurants and bland food. A novice to the region's cuisine, the friendly staff was knowledgable and recommended some great dishes. Reasonable prices, and a must try for the food adventurer.

I am very familiar with Asian food, but never tried Burmese. This restaurant is at the border of Cypress and Stanton. Burmese food overall after eating here and talking to the waitress is a mix between Indian and Thai, minus any spiciness. None of the dishes were spicy and apparently that's how the cuisine is. Tea leaf salad was good, subtle in taste. Tea leaf lamb was very good, very similar to middle eastern lamb stews. It has cardamom in it. We tried other stews and veggies dishes which weren't as tasty as the previous dishes. Overall very tasty and they did not try to overpower dishes. I highly recommend if you live in the area.
