Husband, friend and I had a wonderful lunch here today. The food was tasty and generous portions. A great variety of choices. The staff was professional and attentive. We are already planning our next visit.

I used to pass by this spot on the way to work for years and I always told myself I'd try it out one day. It was a rainy afternoon that brought me in with the bf boasting about their steak and eggs deal. He gets lunch every now and then since he works nearby, but thought we should give it a try for breakfast.

The location is on the corner of Edinger & Red Hill and highly visible on that corner. The vibe feels very similar to Marie Callendar's or a Mimi's Cafe, where most of the patrons are senior citizen or locals. It's got that homey cafe/diner feel to it, so it's just a comfortable environment to be in.

The menu was a simple read and sectioned off by specialties, omelettes, pancakes - french toast - waffles, combos, fruits - grains - bakery, side orders and beverages. The grapefruit juice caught my eye and was surprised they gave such a large portion. Unfortunately, it was pretty bitter and could have used some sugar or water, but at least it tasted fresh-squeezed.

For breakfast, I got the Vegetarian Eggs Benedict. It came with sauteed spinach & mushrooms, avocado, feta cheese and poached eggs on a toasted English muffin with a side of house potatoes. I liked the generous portions of avocado and veggies, but overall, the plates are all pretty filling.

Boyfriend got the steak and eggs while my brother opted to try out Eggs Florentine. Both boys cleaned their plates, but BF said the lunch portion is way better for the steak & eggs plate. Overall, meal was good, but not mind blowing. I think I would come through for the baked goods since they had personal pies and cakes.

Went here to celebrate my mother's 87th birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of food. We were a party of 10, and the service was excellent, the food was very good, and it was not ridiculously expensive. Entrees ranged in price from $12 to $15 for lunch.

We have been going to Citrus Cafe for 4 years now. It is one of our favorite breakfast spots as we love to sit on the patio and leisurely enjoy our meal. The food is good and we particularly love the Salmon Plate which is a lox bagel with all the trimmings. The staff is friendly and attentive and the meals are reasonably priced. The other thing we love is it's close to where we live. This is an all around good place to eat whatever meal you're hungry for.
