The Place

The Place is almost always full, so reservations are advised on weekends. If you are going as a couple, ask for a quieter table as the restaurant can get a bit loud with festivity. It's hard to go wrong on any selection on the menu. Calzones are massive and unusual combinations are on the menu. We have gone several times and it's become a favorite place for dinner when we are in the area.

Took Mom there for an early mother's day. Despite getting there early before The Place was busy the service was slow but the waitress was attentive. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and while the chicken was tasty, I could not get past the thick somewhat sour and burned tasting sauce. I'm sure others may love it but it was not close to what I was lucky enough to experience while in Italy. So, while I didn't love The Place, I still think it is worth trying as you may like it.

We've enjoyed the food and extensive cocktail list in the past. Food is still good, great salads. But we found out polenta not vegetarian after all, along with several other items. Cocktails still good, just a much smaller menu.

The food was so good! We all had different dishes, and they were all delicious. Personally, I'd definitely recommend the chicken marsala to anyone and everyone, I'll definitely order it again. They also have the best old fashioned, no joke, it was smooth! While a bit crowded in a small place (they should expand), I can't blame anyone for wanting to go here.

We have been many times and it was always spectacular especially the famous lasagna. Sadly, we returned last night and nothing was as amazing as it used to be. We were so bummed. Lasagna was dry and the noodles were noticeably thicker. Meatball appetizer was also dry and smaller in proportion. Brown lettuce in my chopped salad. I pray things get better and they return to original quality!
