This place is fun and loud. Lots of birthday’s being celebrated which includes the staff getting together with a flaming skull and several shots ready to go (I’m sure for a fee).

The tequila options consisted of popular brands, but the Siete Leguas was the stand out in my opinion. Staff also walks around with shots ready to go. The molcajete was great, but I do think $18 is a bit overpriced for a small queso fundido. They also had kid options such as chicken tenders with fries.

All in all, if you don’t mind a loud atmosphere, you’ll have a good time.

Kalaveras does tend to get expensive when you add on any alcoholic drinks. People come to drink and listen to music and will definitely pay a hefty price.

The food on the other hand is flavorful and worth the price. There's a variety of dishes that will catch your interest. I prefer to come during lunch hour as it's less packed and the services is quicker.

Super fun ambience. Fun music. Not the place to go if you are planning on having a conversation though lol. Great drink menu, great tacos, even vegetarian tacos. Will come back!

My girlfriend and I tried this place out for the first time last night. We both had mezcal cocktails to start off with, which were amazing. We ordered esquite and taquitos for appetizers. Later, my girl ordered the Cali burrito, and I tried their asada and pescado tacos. Both were delicious.

The ambiance was good with their decor and lighting. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival. The wait staff were very prompt in getting our orders and taking care of our drinks.

My biggest pet peeve was the noise level. Music kept playing throughout the restaurant from random music videos that were being played on the TVs and a big screen. It was difficult to have any sort of conversation with my girlfriend. The wait staff often had trouble hearing us when we placed our orders.

The food was delicious. The drinks were strong and unique. It's just the atmosphere that kind of threw me off. Great for birthday parties, but I wouldn't recommend this place for intimate first dates or smaller groups.

The service is really good. The drinks look presentable. The food is good. The atmosphere is great but a bit on the loud side. They are on the pricey side but I guess they can be considered a premium place. They only think I got caught off guard was the 18 percent service fee. Not sure if that’s mandatory it was only 3 of us dining.
